At age 18, Josie made up her mind she had to focus on acting as an adult by shedding her "Sarah Powell" image. Meanwhile, Josie had shed her little girl image and appeared in a few independent, made-for-video, grade-B movies in 1994 and 1995 which was a bit part in the comedy, Beach House (1995) and as the lead role in the police thriller, Badge of Fear (1995). In early 2000, Josie was cast as Tori Spelling's, sexy, new business partner on "Beverly Hills, 90210". She played the character of Camille Desmond until the long lived series ended later that year. Josie went on to star in Psychic Murders (2002) (V) alongside Henry Rollins and James Russo. She wrapped the year with Slammed (2001) playing the girl next door/love interest in a youth-driven film starring Zachery Ty Bryan, Justin Whalin, "Tiny" Lister, John O'Hurley and a slew of other recognizable actors. Thanks to the film work, Josie was able to be a part of the critically-acclaimed drama "Philly" with Kim Delaney, an emotional episode of "The Division", a pilot called The Partners (2003) (TV), and CSI: Miami, opposite David Caruso. Had to leave a gymnastics team she was on when she was cast for Charles In Charge.
